GEM FACTOR is an international company specialized in Colombian emeralds providing principally to the jewelry industry.

Having family members with over 40 years of experience in their extraction, selection, cut, and enhancement, we decided to create this company with the aim of introducing the famous emeralds from Chivor to the world and sharing our passion for these amazing gems.

The Mine
Colombia, a country known for its amazing landscapes, mountains, jungles, and biodiversity, makes this place a unique and favorable environment to naturally form the most spectacular emeralds in the world.

Coming from the “Andean Mountains”, the longest continental mountain range in the world, in the Boyacá and Cundinamarca Departments, the Colombian emerald has been a jewel of fascination in many cultures for more than six thousand years.

We are fortunate to be part of the extraction of emeralds in one of the most famous and legendary mines, "Chivor". Its name comes from the indigenous language and means “blessed land”. It is well known that this particular mine produces emeralds of the highest quality characterized by a bluish green hue.
